Clueless is one of the most fashionable movies of all time, and in an unexpected plot twist, the woman behind those iconic looks stopped by Lauren's House and stayed a while.
Mona May joined us to talk about creativity, the role spirituality plays in her career, and share stories from behind the scenes. She signed books, hung out with the group, and even brought her dog.

Because there's no place like home.
Yes, that's a Wizard of Oz reference, the movie that launched a lifelong obsession with shoes.
Home is where you can be yourself - completely. It's the one place you crave after a long night of awkward networking or a painfully bad first date. You can wear your Christmas pajamas in July while eating leftover cake with your bare hands.
Home is comfort, but home is also the vessel that allows space for so many different parts of you.

Oh, and the actual dollhouse? Funny story. What started as a Halloween craft with a friend (we were building haunted houses) spiraled into a full-on miniature obsession. So far I've built 6 dollhouses and I'm just getting started. Turns out, letting creativity lead the way really does pay off.

A Little Woo Goes a Long Way
In 2019, I had my first Akashic Records reading. I had no clue what to expect, but the reader came highly recommended. Plus, I rarely say no to woo.
Long story short, when I was 38, the reader predicted I'd become a mother at 44. Guess who had her first child at 44? Raises hand. Needless to say, I was hooked.
So when I had the opportunity to bring that same reader to the Lauren's House Annual Retreat, I did. What unfolded was an experience that left a lasting impression on everyone, both personally and professionally.

I've spent nearly two decades building businesses. I started at the bottom (literally, as an unpaid intern) and now I'm here with multiple seven-figure businesses under my belt, a bestselling book (Style Therapy: 30 Days to Your Signature Style), television appearances (yes, that was me on Netflix), and two terms as president of Entrepreneurs' Organization.
With well over 7,000 clients served, I've made it my business to help people recognize their potential and break free from the boxes they've been operating in. We went behind the scenes at some of LA's most incredible fashion destinations. Think museum-worthy vintage, designer gowns straight from the red carpet, and a peek inside the private shopping world of Saks Fifth Avenue.
We tried on fabulous clothes, met inspiring people, and got access to places and experiences most people never get to see.

One of my favorite things about the work I do has nothing to do with business. It's watching the friendships that form between the people who enter my world.
